Domestic Missionary Society have employed two missionaries for about two years; whose duty it was, to seek out objects of compassion and preach Christ to them. But the society are necessitated, for want of funds to dismiss oneof the two missionaries in their employ; and leave the destitute to famish for want of the bread of life, in the face of those who say, that they have tasted the comforts of believing. We never once habored the opinion, till we seen the statement before us, that the domestic mission ary society of that city was not liber- i ally supported; because we were led ! to the belief, from plausible circumstances, that its friends were numerous.
